Iran and Pakistan FMs Hold Talks
WANA (Apr 05) – Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, have held a telephone conversation to exchange views on the latest regional, international developments, and bilateral relations.
The two top diplomats spoke on Saturday night, exchanging views on key issues affecting the region and broader international landscape.
Earlier in the day, Araghchi addressed Pakistan’s mediation efforts in a message posted on X, expressing Tehran’s appreciation. “We are deeply grateful to Pakistan for its efforts and have never refused to go to Islamabad,” he said.
He added, “What we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting END to the illegal war that is imposed on us.”
In a separate phone call, Araghchi also spoke with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, reviewing the latest regional and international developments.
The two sides exchanged views on pressing issues, amid ongoing diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Cairo on matters of mutual concern.
