Iran and Russia Build a Common Ecosystem for the Global Digital Future
WANA (Dec 03) – Iran’s ambassador to Moscow stated that Iran and Russia, with their extensive scientific capabilities and strong positions in innovation, can now establish a shared ecosystem for the digital future of the world.
Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow, wrote in a post on X ahead of the fifth meeting of the Iran–Russia Joint Working Group on Communications and Information Technology:
“Iran–Russia cooperation in the field of communications and information technology—within the framework of the joint working group—constitutes a necessary and strategic response to today’s global security and technological requirements. It also provides a stable foundation for strengthening technological collaboration of mutual interest, expanding the presence of capable Iranian companies in the Russian market to supply equipment and deliver technical and engineering services, advancing e-commerce, digitizing urban environments, and enhancing cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
With their substantial scientific capacity and prominent positions in innovation, Iran and Russia can now build a shared ecosystem for the digital future of the world. Moscow will host the fifth meeting of the joint working group on communications and information technology from December 4 to 6.”
