WANA (Jan 7) – Iran’s Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Amir Hatami said global efforts to reshape the international order have fueled widespread instability, as he delivered a speech to senior military students in Tehran on Tuesday.

Addressing the 86th class of the Army Command and Staff University, Hatami described the current global period as an attempt to “form a new world order,” warning that such efforts have created security challenges at the global, regional and national levels.

“These efforts have caused a security challenge for the world, regions and countries themselves, and have created a kind of instability and insecurity,” he said.

Hatami also strongly criticized the United States and Israel, accusing their leaders of openly interfering in Iran’s internal affairs and maintaining a long-standing hostility toward the Iranian nation.

“The President of the United States and the criminal Prime Minister of the Zionist regime today have no doubt about their hostility towards the Iranian nation,” Hatami said. “They allow themselves to interfere in our internal affairs, tweet, and talk.”

Referring to recent months, the army chief said Iran has suffered significant human losses, including military commanders, scientists, and civilians.

“They have been enemies throughout history. In the past six or seven months, they have killed more than a thousand children of this nation, including our beloved commanders, our beloved comrades, our scientists, children, girls, boys, women, and men,” Gen. Hatami said.

Hatami added that the Iranian people have resisted what he described as external pressure and threats, refusing to align with the narrative promoted by Washington and Tel Aviv.

“The people refused to be put in that frame in which the criminal President of the United States and the criminal Prime Minister of the Zionist regime wanted to see the nation, and on that basis, threaten our beloved Iran,” he said.
