Iran Army Spokesman: No Ground Invader Should Be Left Alive
WANA (Apr 16) – The spokesperson of the Iranian Army stated that, under orders from Major General Amir Hatami, any ground incursion into the country must be met with decisive force, stressing that “not a single invader should be left alive.”
Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia made the remarks in a televised interview, noting that the country is currently facing exceptional conditions. He said army units are on high alert and that the current ceasefire situation is effectively no different from wartime conditions, which has led to the cancellation of traditional military parades in cities. Instead, cultural programs are being held across cities and military bases.
He added that the directive from the army’s top command explicitly emphasizes a firm response to any ground aggression.
Akrami-Nia also referred to an incident on April 5, stating that a U.S.-linked infiltration took place, during which an Iranian serviceman identified as Zare and his team quickly responded. According to him, they used a shoulder-fired missile to strike a U.S. C-130 aircraft, forcing the mission to fail and prompting U.S. forces to withdraw from the scene.
