Iran, Belarus Sign 12 Cooperation Documents
WANA (Aug 20) – During Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Belarus on Wednesday, August 20, senior officials of Iran and Belarus signed 12 cooperation documents in the presence of the two presidents.
The agreements cover a wide range of fields, including politics, international law, tourism, arts, media, health and medical services, pharmaceuticals, industry, environment, free zones, special economic zones, and investment.
In addition, the presidents of Iran and Belarus signed a joint statement on the visit.
President Pezeshkian traveled to Minsk at the official invitation of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. On Wednesday morning, he was formally welcomed by Lukashenko at the Presidential Palace.
Pezeshkian had arrived in Belarus late Tuesday night, August 19, for the official visit. Upon arrival, he paid tribute at the Victory Square Memorial dedicated to the soldiers of the homeland.
Prior to his trip to Belarus, the Iranian president also visited Armenia, where he held meetings with Armenian Iranologists, members of the Iranian diaspora, and business leaders from both countries.
