WANA (Aug 31) – The second platform jacket of Phase 11 of the South Pars Gas Field, designed and built by Iranian specialists, has been successfully loaded from the Sadra Industrial Yard in Bushehr for installation in the Persian Gulf. With its deployment, Iran’s gas production is expected to rise by 5 percent.

The structure, weighing 4,100 tons and standing 77 meters high, will be installed at a depth of 70 meters at location 11B of the South Pars field.

Following the installation, drilling operations will begin at location 11A, where six wells are planned to be drilled within the next two years.

Once fully operational, production from location 11B is projected to add 28.3 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, equivalent to a 5 percent increase in Iran’s total gas output.
