1. WANA (Oct 04) – According to the latest official data, Iran has set a new seven-year record in oil and gas production. In 2024, the country’s average crude oil output surpassed 4 million barrels per day, a level not seen since seven years ago.

Compared to last year, Iran’s daily oil production has increased by 247,000 barrels, reflecting a significant recovery in field capacity and improved production management by major national companies. The National Iranian South Oil Company alone accounted for nearly 75 percent of total output, producing more than 914 million barrels of crude oil during the year.

The gas sector also reached a new milestone, with total production hitting 1,105 billion cubic meters — equivalent to the annual consumption of several medium-sized countries. The Pars Oil and Gas Company led the field with 245.9 billion cubic meters of production.

Experts say this record-breaking performance marks Iran’s return to its pre-sanctions production capacity — a development that could once again strengthen the country’s position in the global energy market.
