Iran Calls Off Annual Military Parade Over Security Threats
WANA (Sep 22) – Iran’s Armed Forces have canceled the annual military parade traditionally held on the first day of Sacred Defense Week.
According to the commander of the IRGC in Hamedan Province, the decision came in response to emerging threats, with authorities opting to avoid large public gatherings and instead prioritize defense readiness.
He noted that in previous years the parade had been a central feature of Sacred Defense Week in Iran, but this year conditions required shifting focus toward maintaining security and preparedness.
Thus, the parade will not take place this year.
