Iran, China and Russia to Hold Joint Naval Drill in Indian Ocean
WANA (Jan 31) – Iran, China and Russia will hold a joint naval exercise later this month in the northern Indian Ocean, Iranian media reported.
The eighth edition of the “Maritime Security Belt” joint drill will be held with the participation of units from the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, and the naval forces of China and Russia.
The exercise was launched in 2019 at the initiative of the Iranian Navy, and seven previous editions have already been conducted.
