Iran Closes Western Airspace Until Further Notice
WANA (Jun 07) – Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has announced the closure of the western section of the country’s airspace until further notice.
According to a statement released by the organization’s public relations office, spokesperson Majid Akhavan said the decision was made following safety and security assessments and the issuance of a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
He stated that the western portion of Iran’s airspace has been closed indefinitely as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of air operations.
The Civil Aviation Organization also urged citizens to avoid traveling to airports and to follow official media outlets for the latest updates on flight operations and airspace restrictions.
