Iran Condemns Desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque
WANA (Aug 03) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei strongly condemned the renewed desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Zionists, led by a minister of the Israeli regime.
Baghaei described the move as “a blatant violation of the sanctity and religious status of Al-Aqsa Mosque and a clear breach of United Nations resolutions,” stressing that the incident represents “yet another sign of the Israeli regime’s malicious intent to perpetuate tension and crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories and the wider region.”
Highlighting the revered status of Al-Aqsa as the first qibla of Muslims, he added: “The ruling Zionist faction in the occupied Palestinian territories, through its desecration of this sacred site, seeks to alter the Islamic and historical identity of al-Quds, provoke the sentiments of Muslims worldwide, and escalate tensions in the occupied lands.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman reaffirmed support for the Palestinian people, stating: “An undivided al-Quds is the eternal capital of Palestine, and the international community has a duty to compel the occupying regime to halt its racist and criminal policies against the land and people of Palestine.”
