WANA (Jul 15) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday strongly condemned recent Israeli military attacks on Syria, voicing deep concern over deadly clashes in the southern province of Suwayda that have killed dozens of civilians.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei denounced Israel’s continued military aggression against Syrian sovereignty, warning that such actions coincide with the ongoing occupation of large parts of Syrian territory. He described the United Nations Security Council’s persistent inaction in the face of Israel’s cross-border attacks as dangerous and emboldening for what he called the “occupying regime.”

Baghaei further stressed the need for regional countries and the broader Islamic world to focus on halting Israel’s violations and crimes, including what he called the regime’s unprecedented genocide in Gaza and repeated attacks on Syria and Lebanon. He underscored the international community’s responsibility to prevent further grave breaches of international law and the UN Charter.
