Iran Condemns Israel’s Widespread Attacks on Lebanon
WANA (Nov 07) – Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Friday condemning what it described as large-scale military aggression by the Israeli regime against various regions of Lebanon, warning of its grave implications for regional peace and stability.
In the statement, the ministry strongly denounced the attacks and underscored the responsibility of the United Nations, the international community, and regional countries to confront the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression.
It further called for the accountability and punishment of Israel, warning that continued impunity and expansionist, war-driven policies would pose serious threats to regional peace and security.
According to the statement, Israeli military assaults on Lebanon — which, since the ceasefire agreement of November 2025, have resulted in the death and injury of over a thousand innocent Lebanese civilians and caused widespread destruction of infrastructure and residential areas — constitute a blatant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, amounting to a “heinous crime against international peace and security.”
The ministry asserted that these “criminal attacks,” allegedly carried out with the full support and complicity of the United States, reflect what it called “the criminal, terrorist, and hegemonic nature of the Zionist regime,” claiming their purpose is to undermine Lebanon’s sovereignty and stability while obstructing its reconstruction and development.
Conveying condolences for the Lebanese victims of what it termed “the brutal Israeli assaults,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Iran’s solidarity with the government and people of Lebanon. It also reiterated its support for Lebanon’s “legitimate resistance” and efforts to defend its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity against Israeli aggression.
