Iran Condemns Ongoing Israeli Actions in Palestinian Territories
WANA (Nov 17) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned what he described as ongoing Israeli crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In a media statement issued on Sunday night, Esmaeil Baghaei expressed deep outrage over the continued killing of civilians and extensive violations of human rights and international humanitarian law in Gaza and the West Bank. He stated that the ongoing blockade of Gaza, along with restrictions on debris removal and the prevention of reconstruction of essential infrastructure, including medical and health facilities, has intensified the humanitarian catastrophe during the cold and rainy season. Baghaei described these actions as part of a policy aimed at the “genocidal eradication of the Palestinian people.”

Referring to what he called an increase in “terrorist and destructive attacks by Israeli settlers in the West Bank, repeated violations of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque, and the continued arbitrary detention and torture of Palestinians,” the spokesperson emphasized the legal and moral responsibility of the international community to halt the actions of the occupying regime. He argued that the developments in the West Bank represent a continuation of “a colonial policy of eliminating Palestinians, which in the past two years has resulted in the killing of tens of thousands of innocent civilians in Gaza.”
The senior Iranian diplomat further stated that the United States and certain European governments, through what he described as comprehensive military and political support for Israel, are complicit in these actions. He stressed the necessity of ending impunity for those responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity, and called for urgent international measures to stop the ongoing violence and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
