Iran Condemns Ongoing Israeli Atrocities in Occupied Palestine
WANA (Jul 04) – Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the escalating genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories and the brutal killing of hundreds of defenseless civilians across various parts of the Gaza Strip over the past week.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei described the continuous Israeli military assaults on residential neighborhoods, refugee tents, shelters, and aid distribution points as “unprecedented war crimes.”
Referring to the repeated targeted attacks on areas where displaced people have taken refuge — including the ruthless bombing of the Mustafa Hafez school in Gaza City — Baghaei held the United States, Germany, and other supporters and enablers of the occupying regime responsible for the ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
He also condemned the repeated Israeli claims regarding the full annexation of the West Bank as a dangerous indication of the regime’s expansionist ambitions. Baghaei called for urgent and decisive action by the international community and Islamic countries to support the oppressed Palestinian people and confront what he called the colonial project aimed at erasing Palestine as a nation with a deep-rooted historical identity.
In addition, he praised the continued efforts of Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, for her role in exposing Israeli atrocities and defending the rights of the Palestinian people. He also denounced the increasing pressure by the U.S. and other supporters of Israel to silence her.
