Iran Condemns Ongoing Israeli Atrocities in Occupied Palestine
WANA (Jun 26) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei strongly condemned the continued acts of genocide against the Palestinian people and the killing of dozens of Palestinian civilians in various parts of Gaza — including those gathered at humanitarian aid centers.
Baghaei denounced the ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip, which has deprived innocent civilians of essential resources such as food, water, and medicine, leading to the slow and painful deaths of hundreds.
He also criticized the continued desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the killing of Palestinian youth by Israeli settlers and officials.
Highlighting that over 60 innocent people, including numerous children, were killed in Israeli attacks within just the past 12 hours, Baghaei slammed the ongoing silence and inaction of international bodies such as the United Nations Security Council, the UN Human Rights Council, and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
He described their failure to respond to blatant violations of human and humanitarian rights as shameful and indefensible.
The spokesperson further expressed disgust at the United Nations Security Council’s ongoing failure to act against what he described as unprecedented crimes by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Baghaei stated that the United States and other Western backers of Israel — particularly the United Kingdom, Germany, and France — bear full responsibility as complicit partners in these crimes.
He emphasized that these countries, by shielding Israel from accountability, have played a central role in what he called Israel’s culture of impunity and must answer to the conscience of humanity.
