Iran Condoles With India Over Deaths of Indian Pilgrims
WANA (Nov 18) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry has expressed condolences to the families of Indian nationals who died in a bus accident in Saudi Arabia, as well as to the people and government of India.
Following the deaths of several Indian Umrah pilgrims from the city of Hyderabad in a bus crash near the city of Medina, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei on Tuesday, November 18, extended sympathies to the victims’ families and conveyed solidarity with India.
The spokesperson prayed for divine mercy and forgiveness for the deceased and wished a swift recovery for those injured in the incident.
At least 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims are dead following a devastating collision between a bus and a tanker near Medina, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. The victims were traveling from Mecca to Medina when the bus caught fire.
Following the accident, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences and said, “My thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the swift recovery of all those injured.”
