WANA (Apr 26) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has utilized his recent regional diplomatic tour to deliver written messages to the United States via Pakistani intermediaries.

According to reports, these documents explicitly detail the Islamic Republic’s “red lines” concerning its nuclear program and the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Not a Negotiation

Sources familiar with the matter emphasize that this exchange of messages does not constitute a new round of negotiations. Instead, it is described as a deliberate initiative by Tehran to clarify the current regional landscape and provide a transparent declaration of Iran’s non-negotiable positions.

The move is intended to prevent miscalculations by clearly communicating the boundaries of Iran’s national security interests.

Diplomatic Framework

The report further notes that Minister Araghchi is operating strictly within the established mandates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Araghchi arrived in Muscat last night for talks with Omani officials after visiting Islamabad and consulting with senior Pakistani officials.

He has now returned to Islamabad again after Muscat. The next destination of Araghchi’s trip will be Russia.
