WANA (May 18) – Iran’s Defense Ministry spokesperson rejected recent claims by Donald Trump regarding the destruction of Iran’s defense capabilities, stressing that a significant portion of the country’s military power has not yet been utilized and that the Axis of Resistance is now more united and stronger than ever.

Speaking to Yemen’s Al Masirah network on Monday, Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik dismissed Trump’s remarks as “falsehoods” and “nonsense,” saying: “Trump continues to spread baseless claims and lies about the destruction of our defense capabilities.”

He added that “America’s aura of power has collapsed at the hands of our forces,” emphasizing that “a considerable part of Iran’s defensive capabilities has still not been brought into action.”

The Defense Ministry spokesman also stated that the Axis of Resistance across the region has become more cohesive and powerful than at any previous time.

In a related interview, Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said Iran is fully prepared for all possible scenarios.

“We will respond more forcefully to any aggression against our country,” he said, adding that “the Americans must either accept diplomacy and Iran’s conditions or face the country’s missile power.”

Rezaei further warned that any new military action against Iran would bring “greater humiliation” for Donald Trump.

Addressing the Strait of Hormuz, he said: “The history of the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its previous state, and no power will be able to reopen it without Iran’s approval.”

He also noted that the Iranian Parliament is currently working on a new legal framework for managing the Strait of Hormuz, under which “enemy vessels will not be permitted to pass through.”
