Iran Denies Flight Disruptions, All Routes Operating Normally
WANA (Feb 28) – Iranian aviation authorities have confirmed that all domestic, international, and overflight operations across the country’s airspace are continuing without disruption, amid recent speculation regarding certain international routes.
The spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran stated that no flight restrictions have been imposed on the Tehran–Istanbul route. The official clarified that only flights operated by Qeshm Air, ATA Airlines, and Turkish Airlines that had already been canceled previously — and were not scheduled to operate — appeared on cancellation lists.
The spokesperson emphasized that all domestic and international flights, as well as transit flights crossing Iranian airspace, are operating according to schedule, with the country’s air transport network functioning normally and without operational interruptions.
Separately, Yahya Ustun, Head of Media Relations at Turkish Airlines, dismissed claims circulating on social media regarding the cancellation of the airline’s flights to Iran.
Ustun emphasized that no flight cancellations are planned and that all services are continuing as scheduled without interruption.
There had also been speculation concerning Qatar Airways services on the Tehran–Doha route. Following reports alleging possible suspensions, officials confirmed that flights on this route remain active, operating daily with one round-trip service through June 30, 2026.
Authorities reiterated that Iran’s aviation network remains fully operational, urging the public to rely on official sources for accurate information.
