Iran Denounces Argentina’s Terrorist Labeling of IRGC as a Strategic Mistake
WANA (Apr 01) – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned Argentina’s move to label Iran’s armed forces as a terrorist organization, describing it as a continuation of the country’s erroneous approach in aligning with aggressors.
In a formal statement regarding Argentina’s designation of the IRGC, the ministry emphasized that this action not only explicitly violates the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and international law concerning national sovereignty and non-interference, but is also considered a strategic mistake and an unpardonable insult to the Iranian nation.
The statement further asserted that this decision, which appears to be influenced by the United States and the Israeli regime amid their military aggression against Iran, will cause serious damage to bilateral relations and creates a dangerous precedent in intergovernmental affairs.
According to the ministry, by aligning with the military actions of the U.S. and the Israeli regime, the President and Foreign Minister of Argentina have positioned themselves as partners in committed crimes and stand on the wrong side of history, triggering international responsibility for the Argentine government.
