Iran Embassy in India Blames U.S. Interference for Instability
WANA (Aug 09) – The Iranian Embassy in India on Friday condemned recent remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, saying that Washington’s interference in West Asia and its unconditional support for Israel are the main causes of instability in the region.
Trump had earlier posted on Truth Social: “Now that the nuclear arsenal being built by Iran has been completely destroyed, it is very important to me that all Middle Eastern countries join the Abraham Accords. This will guarantee peace in the Middle East. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Responding to Trump’s statement, the Iranian Embassy wrote:
“U.S. interventions in West Asia and its unconditional backing of the occupying regime are the root causes of instability in this region. Until the question of Palestine is resolved by the people of that land themselves, and West Asian countries establish indigenous mechanisms for regional security, sustainable stability will remain out of reach. The genocide in Gaza, carried out with U.S. support, will block the realization of any lasting peace in the region for years to come.”
The Abraham Accords, launched during Trump’s first term, are a series of normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab states. The initiative has been widely criticized by analysts for sidelining Palestinian rights.
In recent weeks, Trump has repeatedly defended the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran and publicly praised Washington’s role in what Tehran calls illegal attacks on its nuclear facilities.
On Thursday morning, speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump again threatened Iran, repeating allegations about its nuclear program:
“If Tehran decides to restart its nuclear program — which would be a dangerous move — the United States will be back. And I think they know that.”
