WANA (May 10) – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Armenia sparked controversy after posting a sharp and sarcastic message on X in response to the birth of the White House press secretary’s daughter.

The post read: “Congratulations to you. Children are innocent and lovable. Those 168 children your boss killed in a school in Minab — and whose deaths you justified — they were children too. When you kiss your child, think of the mothers of those children.”

The message was referring to the U.S. airstrike on the “Shajareh Tayyebeh” elementary school in the city of Minab, in Iran’s Hormozgan Province.

The attack took place on February 28, 2026, while children were inside the school, coinciding with the start of joint U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran.

According to reports, the school was hit by a missile, killing 168 students and teachers.
