WANA (May 31) – On the final day of the 26th Asian Athletics Championships, Iranian middle-distance runner Ali Amiryian secured a silver medal in the men’s 800-meter final held this afternoon in South Korea.

Amiryian clocked a time of 1:44.97, finishing just 0.38 seconds behind the gold medalist from Kuwait. His strong performance earned him the runner-up title in a tightly contested race.

With this achievement, Iran concludes its campaign at the championships with a total of three medals: two golds and one silver. Mohammadreza Tayebi and Reyhaneh Mobini captured gold in their respective events, while Amiryian’s silver added to the country’s overall success.
