WANA (Jul 29) – Mohseni-Ejei, Iran’s Judiciary Chief, said: “The enemy believed that by the fourth day, the Islamic Republic would no longer be able to stay on its path. Had the regime been able to continue its attacks, it certainly would have. The ceasefire was requested by the regime, not by us.”

Referring to recent events, the head of Iran’s Judiciary said: “The enemies believed that by the fourth day at the latest, the Islamic Republic would no longer be able to continue on its path. Yet today, the greatness of Iran and the Iranian nation is more evident than ever.”

Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei stressed that after what he described as the “dishonorable and malicious assault by the Zionist regime, backed by the United States and certain other countries,” the unity, cohesion, and national solidarity of the Iranian people alongside the Leader of the Revolution thwarted the enemies’ plans.

He noted that “the Zionist regime had never in its history received such blows,” adding: “The United States, too, has no memory of a reciprocal military confrontation of this kind since World War II.”

According to the Judiciary chief, several countries had pledged assistance to Israel, yet despite all the support, the regime failed to achieve its objectives.

Ejei remarked: “Had the regime been able to continue its attacks, rest assured it would have. The ceasefire was requested by the regime, not by the Islamic Republic.”

He emphasized that the vigilance and solidarity of the Iranian people, their alignment with the leadership, and internal cohesion were the key factors behind the enemies’ failure in this confrontation.
