Iran Engaged in Complex Nuclear Discussions with European Trio
WANA (Aug 02) – The Iranian Government Spokesperson, Fatemeh Mojaherani, said that what is currently taking place between Iran and the three European countries involves dialogue and exchange of views on the nuclear issue, which has become increasingly complex.
In an interview regarding the five rounds of indirect talks between representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, Mojaherani stated: “I must emphasize that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never placed any obstacles in the way of dialogue with European countries on various issues.”
She continued: “What is currently taking place between Iran and the three European countries is a dialogue and exchange of views regarding the nuclear issue, which has encountered complex circumstances.
Negotiation – in the sense of striving to reach an agreement with Europe – is not currently underway. Rather, most of the discussions are focused on consultation and the exchange of opinions.”
