Iran, EU Hold Talks on Regional Tensions
WANA (Nov 28) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, held a telephone conversation on Friday evening to discuss relations between Iran and the European Union as well as regional and international developments.
Araghchi, referring to what he described as ongoing violations of international law resulting from the continuation of “crimes and aggressions by the Zionist regime” in West Asia—particularly in the occupied Palestinian territories and Lebanon—underscored the responsibility of the international community to put an end to these actions.
The two sides also discussed Iran’s nuclear file, with the Iranian foreign minister outlining Tehran’s views on the matter.
Both officials emphasized the importance of maintaining regular contacts and consultations between Iran and its European counterparts to exchange views on regional and global issues.
