Iran Executes Mossad Spy Madani Following Espionage Conviction
WANA (May 28) – Iranian authorities have executed Pedram Madani after convicting him of espionage on behalf of the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad. According to official sources, Madani was arrested in 2020 in Tehran on charges of spying for Israel and illicit acquisition of assets through receiving cash, foreign currency in Europe (euros), and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin).
Madani had reportedly traveled frequently between Iran and Germany before his arrest. During these visits, he is said to have undergone training by Mossad and was tasked with recruiting individuals and transmitting classified information to his handler using secure communication systems.
Evidence presented during the trial indicated that Madani attempted to transfer classified data, including the locations of sensitive infrastructure sites, to Mossad. He reportedly met his direct Mossad officer at the Israeli embassy in Brussels and had multiple encounters with intelligence operatives in various countries.
Digital forensics on Madani’s devices revealed encrypted communications with his handler, who instructed him to categorize and forward intelligence to Mossad’s specialized units.
Officials stated that Madani even traveled to the occupied Palestinian territories during the course of his cooperation with Mossad. Iranian intelligence forces eventually intercepted his operations, severed his connections with the foreign agency, and arrested him.
Following a full criminal trial and legal proceedings, including review and confirmation of the verdict by Iran’s Supreme Court, Madani was sentenced to death on charges of moharebeh (waging war against God) and corruption on earth. The death sentence was carried out after all legal protocols were completed.
