WANA (Sep 14) – The Cultural Office of Iran in Greece has announced the display of Iranian arts at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair, Greece’s second-largest city.

The Iranian embassy, in collaboration with the Cultural Office, presented a pavilion featuring Iran’s rich culture, arts, and heritage. The exhibition included a valuable collection of traditional Iranian handicrafts, such as ceramics, wood carvings, miniatures, and other artisanal works.

The Cultural Office described the pavilion as a unique opportunity for the Greek public and international visitors to experience authentic Iranian art firsthand.

It added that the warm reception, particularly from art enthusiasts and handicraft professionals, underscored the global appeal and significance of Iran’s cultural heritage.

The office also highlighted that the participation offered a platform to strengthen scientific, cultural, and academic cooperation between Iran and Greece.

During the fair, the Iranian cultural attaché visited various booths and held constructive discussions with academic and cultural institutions, university professors, students, researchers, and inventors.

Visits included the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Ioannina, as well as interactions with representatives from Greek research and scientific centers.

According to the Cultural Office, these engagements serve as a foundation for expanding collaborative research, education, and cultural projects, fostering stronger, friendlier, and creative ties between the two nations.
