WANA (Jun 28) – Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development has announced that the suspension of domestic and international flights in the northern, southern, and western regions of the country has been extended until 2 PM on Sunday, June 29.

 

The decision was made following security and safety assessments, based on a resolution by the Civil Aviation Organization’s Coordination Committee.

 

Meanwhile, the airspace over central and western parts of Iran has reopened for international overflights. Additionally, the eastern half of the country’s airspace is now available for domestic, international, and transit flights.

 

Iran Air CEO: No Country Has Closed Its Airspace to Iran

The CEO of Iran Air (the national airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran) dismissed rumors about the closure of Iran’s airspace, stating: “So far, no country has closed its airspace to Iran.”

 

Turkish Airlines to Resume Flights to Iran Starting Monday

Turkish Airlines has announced that it will resume its flights to Iran as of Monday. According to the released statement, flights to Mashhad will begin on Monday.

 

These flights had been suspended due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
