Iran FM Holds Phone Talks with Turkish, Omani Counterparts
WANA (Feb 03) – Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation on Tuesday night with Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, during which the two sides exchanged views on the latest regional developments.
Araghchi expressed appreciation for Turkey’s constructive efforts and goodwill aimed at de-escalation and contributing to the preservation of peace and security in the region.
The foreign ministers of Iran and Turkey praised the collective commitment of regional countries to security and stability, stressing the importance of continued cooperation, sustained dialogue, and close coordination among neighboring and regional states to safeguard their shared interests.
In a separate phone call the same evening, Iran’s foreign minister also spoke with Badr Albusaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, discussing bilateral relations as well as regional developments.
During the conversation, Araghchi commended Oman’s constructive role and goodwill efforts in support of regional peace and security, and emphasized the importance of close cooperation and coordination among friendly countries to ensure stability and protect the common and collective interests of the peoples of the region.
