Iran FM Spokesperson Applauds Global Protests Against “U.S.-Israeli War”
WANA (Apr 14) – In a prominent statement shared on X, Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, has extended deep appreciation to millions of demonstrators worldwide for their “unprecedented solidarity” with the Iranian nation.
The message, accompanied by images of large-scale rallies, frames recent global demonstrations as a rejection of what Tehran labels an illegal and brutal military campaign by the United States and Israel.
Global Outpouring of Support
Baghaei emphasized that the “heroic resistance” of the Iranian people has resonated far beyond the region’s borders. He noted that Iranians would “forever remember” the millions who took to public squares to denounce the ongoing conflict.
According to the spokesperson, the wave of support has spanned across continents, specifically citing:
The Middle East & Asia: Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Turkiye, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, and Palestine.
The Americas: Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, and even “within the United States itself.”
Europe & East Asia: The United Kingdom, France, and Japan.
Central Asia & Africa: Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and several African nations.
Defending “Civilization”
The statement elevates the rhetoric of the current conflict, describing it not merely as a political struggle but as an “epic defense” of the Iranian nation and its “great civilization.”
By highlighting protests in Western capitals like London and Paris, as well as American cities, Baghaei aimed to portray the U.S.-Israeli military actions as internationally isolated and morally condemned by “conscientious, justice-seeking people” across the globe.
