WANA (Jun 07) – Iran’s Foreign Minister and the Pakistani Interior Minister have held high-level talks in Tehran to discuss key bilateral issues and the latest diplomatic initiatives aimed at advancing dialogue between Iran and the United States.

 

Syed Mohsin Naqvi, the Minister of Interior of Pakistan, who has traveled to the Iranian capital to meet and consult with high-ranking officials of Iran to continue Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts in the Iran-U.S. talks, met today, Sunday afternoon, June 7, with Minister of Foreign Affairs Syed Abbas Araghchi and delivered a written message from Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed to the Supreme Leader to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

 

During this meeting, while reviewing Iran-Pakistan bilateral relations, views were exchanged regarding the latest diplomatic developments and the status of the ongoing diplomatic process to end the imposed American-Israeli war against Iran, alongside critical regional updates.

 

Continued Mediation Efforts

Minister Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Saturday night and was officially welcomed upon arrival by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni.

 

The Pakistani Interior Minister, who has made multiple visits to Tehran in recent weeks as part of Islamabad’s diplomatic outreach, is also scheduled to meet with several other senior Iranian officials during his current stay.
