WANA (Jun 08) – The 26th Iran Health International Exhibition opened today in Tehran, bringing together hundreds of domestic and international companies in the fields of medical technology, pharmaceuticals, dentistry, and laboratory equipment.

The four-day event, running through June 11, highlights Iran’s growing capabilities in health innovation and its ambitions to become a regional hub for medical exports and investment.

Held annually, Iran Health has evolved into one of the Middle East’s largest specialized health expos. This year’s edition aims to foster strategic partnerships, form tech consortia, enhance the global competitiveness of Iranian knowledge-based companies, and attract foreign investment in Iran’s health tech sector.

A wide range of advanced products and technologies is being showcased:

Advanced Water, Air, and Wastewater Disinfection Systems

An Iranian tech firm has developed industrial-grade purification systems for disinfecting water, wastewater, and air. These systems are already deployed in drinking water facilities, cooling towers, pools, and large industrial complexes—demonstrating the country’s engineering capabilities in environmental health technology.

Respiratory Support Devices

A knowledge-based company founded in 2011 is displaying its line of respiratory aid devices, including CPAP, BiPAP, and home-use oxygen concentrators in various capacities (5–10 liters). It is also the first domestic producer of breathing masks and portable oxygen generators, two of which have been recognized as national strategic projects.

Advanced Wound Healing Products

Another company is exhibiting cutting-edge wound care materials, including hydrogels for cleaning wounds, collagen-based dressings, fast-acting hemostatic agents, and antibacterial foams. These products aim to improve healing efficiency and provide timely solutions for hospitals and clinics.

EEG, EMG, and Sleep Monitoring Systems

Locally made neurological diagnostic equipment, such as EEG (electroencephalography), EMG (electromyography), and PSG (polysomnography), is being showcased. Designed for hospitals and epilepsy centers, these tools offer high-quality, user-friendly interfaces and match global standards for monitoring brain, nerve, and muscle activity.

Ambulances and Emergency Medical Vehicles

A company with decades of experience is presenting a fleet of customized ambulances and mobile medical units. Their offerings include bus ambulances, mobile clinics, suction systems, and training programs for emergency care—tailored to meet the needs of national emergency response systems.

Ultrasonic Nebulizers

An Ardabil-based company is showcasing its patented ultrasonic nebulizer, developed in 2011. These devices convert liquid medication into breathable mist using high-frequency sound waves and are used to treat chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and bronchitis.

Electrosurgical Units (Electrocautery)

Electrocautery devices for high-frequency surgical cutting and coagulation are on display. These tools allow surgeons to precisely cut tissue and stop bleeding simultaneously, improving visibility during operations and speeding up procedures compared to traditional scalpels.

Cord Blood Stem Cell Banking

Since 2005, a biotech firm has stored over 230,000 samples of umbilical cord blood stem cells. With 46 branches across Iran, this company plays a critical role in treating blood disorders and reducing reliance on costly foreign cell sources—helping save lives and foreign currency.

Medical-Grade Steam Autoclaves

Another exhibitor is presenting high-pressure steam autoclaves for sterilizing surgical and lab equipment. This company has been active since 1984 and also manufactures autoclave components, contributing to the self-sufficiency of Iran’s surgical infrastructure.

Digital Hearing Aids

A local producer is introducing fully digital hearing aids with locally developed software and calibration systems. It is also the only manufacturer of high-quality analog hearing aids in Iran, expanding access to hearing solutions across the country.

Orthopedic, Spinal, and Craniofacial Implants

A knowledge-based company from Mashhad is showcasing a comprehensive range of implants used in orthopedic and spinal surgeries. It recently launched Iran’s first production line for synthetic bone biomaterials, used for advanced reconstructive procedures in bone and facial surgery.

Experts and organizers emphasize that Iran Health 2025 is more than a trade show—it is a platform for research exchange, scientific collaboration, and commercial matchmaking. The strong participation of domestic knowledge-based firms, alongside foreign exhibitors, signals growing confidence in Iran’s health tech sector and its potential to compete on the global stage.

If sustained by continued investment and policy support, the event’s success could help position Iran as a leading force in regional medical innovation and export.
