WANA (Apr 05) – Iran’s Ministry of Health has released updated figures on casualties and damage to the country’s healthcare system following what it described as U.S.-Israeli attacks, covering the first 37 days of the conflict.

 

According to the ministry:

  • Current hospitalized patients: 480
  • Treated and discharged: 32,533
  • Healthcare personnel killed: 24
  • Ambulances damaged: 41
  • Surgeries performed: 1,200
  • Injured healthcare personnel: 117

 

Child casualties and injuries include:

  • Children under 5 killed: 17
  • Injured under 18: 1,917
  • Injured under 2: 68
  • Killed under 18: 216

 

Damage to medical infrastructure includes:

  • Emergency bases damaged: 54
  • Medical treatment centers damaged: 46
  • Health centers damaged: 216
  • Hospitals evacuated: 8

 

Additional figures:

  • Women killed: 251
  • Women injured: 4,721

 

The ministry stated that since the start of the conflict (from February 28 to April 5), the provinces of Tehran and Hormozgan have recorded the highest number of fatalities.
