WANA (Mar 31) – A new survey by Geopoll suggests that Iran has gained a noticeable edge in public sentiment across key countries in the region during the recent conflict.

According to the findings, levels of sympathy and positive perception toward Iran were significantly higher than those toward Israel among surveyed populations.

Pakistan recorded the highest level of support, with 82% of respondents expressing sympathy for Iran. In Egypt, around 49% of the public reported a positive view of Iran, indicating a considerable level of favorable sentiment.

Saudi Arabia showed a more nuanced trend. Despite reported attacks on U.S. interests in the country, approximately 20% of respondents expressed sympathy for Iran, while a majority—about 65%—chose “neither side.”

In contrast, sympathy toward Israel in Saudi Arabia was reported to be very limited, according to the survey.
