Iran Integrates 1,000 Strategic Drones into Army Forces
WANA (Jan 29) – By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, one thousand strategic drones were integrated today into the combat organization of the Army’s four branches.
The drones, developed in line with emerging threats and the lessons learned from the 12-day war, were manufactured by Army specialists in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.
They are designed across multiple categories—including strike, attack, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare—and are intended to engage specific fixed and mobile targets across maritime, aerial, and land domains.
Following the order to induct the land-based and sea-based drones, Major General Amir Hatami stated that, in accordance with existing and future threats, maintaining and enhancing strategic advantages to enable rapid combat operations and deliver decisive responses to any aggression or aggressor remains a standing priority of the Army.
Due to military security considerations, no images of the newly inducted drones have been released.
