The Vice President’s comments were a direct response to a post by Donald Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social, dated April 7, 2026.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” Trump wrote. “I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change… maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?”
