Iran Is Viewed as a Maritime Power
WANA (Nov 30) – Admiral Irani, Commander of the Iranian Navy, stated that two naval task groups are currently deployed on missions across the world’s oceans. According to him, despite hostile propaganda, the international community now regards Iran as a maritime power.
He highlighted the Navy’s continuous presence in international waters and noted that these task groups also coordinate with other global naval powers in planning phases of joint multinational exercises.
The Commander identified the Navy’s top priority as protecting Iran’s maritime economy. He added that during the 12-day defensive war, the Navy’s primary focus was ensuring the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s shipping and keeping sea lines of communication open.
