Iran–Kuwait Foreign Ministers Hold Phone Talks
WANA (Feb 03) – Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the newly appointed Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait, during which he congratulated him on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
During the call, the two sides highlighted the long-standing, friendly relations between Iran and Kuwait, which are based on mutual respect, and emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The foreign ministers also exchanged views on recent regional developments, underlining the value of dialogue, constructive engagement, and coordination among countries in the region.
The conversation concluded with an emphasis on the continuation of regular diplomatic consultations, the expansion of joint cooperation, and the shared responsibility of regional countries in safeguarding security, stability, and lasting peace in the region.
