WANA (Jul 14) – Local sources reported early Tuesday that air raid warning sirens were activated in Bahrain and Jordan, with explosions heard near US military facilities in both countries.

In Bahrain, shortly after the warning sirens were triggered, reports emerged that the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in the Al Juffair area had been targeted. Several Arab media outlets reported hearing multiple explosions and said they had received reports of a missile attack on the base.

At the same time, some news sources reported disruptions to Bahrain’s banking systems following reports of a cyberattack. Minutes later, Bahrain’s Ministry of Defense announced that it was responding to missile and drone attacks from Iran.

In Jordan, Arab media reported that air raid alarms were activated and explosions were heard in several areas. Reports said US military bases in the country had been targeted by missile attacks.

Some outlets reported explosions at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in the Al-Azraq region and published footage showing US air defense systems attempting to intercept missiles in Jordanian airspace.

The attacks came amid escalating regional tensions following US strikes on targets in southern Iran.
