WANA (Aug 20) – Rear Admiral Abbas Hasani, spokesperson for the “Eghtedar Paydar 2025” (dubbed in English Sustainable Authority) naval missile drill of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, announced that the drill will begin tomorrow.

 

He stated that the operational phase of the exercise will run for two days and will include surface and subsurface units, aerial units, coastal-to-sea missile sites, sea-based missile sites, and electronic warfare units in the northern Indian Ocean and the Sea of Oman.”

 

According to Hasani, in this exercise, based on the experiences gained in previous years and the issued missile-launching instructions, electronic warfare training and drone exercises will be carried out.

 

Regarding the missiles to be used in this exercise, the spokesperson noted: “A wide range of precision-strike cruise missiles with short, medium, and long ranges will be employed to hit and destroy surface targets.”

 

The spokesperson emphasized that the objectives of the exercise are to enhance combat readiness, boost morale among the Iranian people, strengthen operational planning and command capabilities, and reinforce deterrence by relying on domestic expertise.
