WANA (Mar 29) – A series of extensive military, defensive, and cyber operations were reported on Saturday, March 28, 2026, as Iran and its allied groups carried out coordinated actions across multiple locations in the region. The developments include strikes in Israeli-controlled territories as well as operations in several Middle Eastern countries.

 

Part One: Operations by the Islamic Republic of Iran

In Israeli-controlled territories, Iran—reportedly in coordination with Yemen—launched heavy missile barrages targeting around 40 locations, including Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Beit Shemesh, Beersheba, Dimona, Arad, the Jordan Valley, and the Negev region. Strategic and military sites in Beersheba and Eilat were also targeted.

 

In Haifa, a strategic electronic warfare and radar center linked to the “Elta” aerospace complex, along with fuel storage facilities at Ben Gurion Airbase, were reportedly destroyed. Additionally, the solar tower of the Ashalim power plant in the Negev desert was said to have been hit.

 

In the United Arab Emirates, Dubai witnessed reported strikes on two alleged U.S. hideouts, with claims of significant casualties, as well as the destruction of a warehouse storing Ukrainian anti-drone systems and an attack on a hotel hosting U.S. drone unit officers. In Abu Dhabi, multiple explosions were reported in the Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD), with significant damage to the Al Taweelah site belonging to Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA).

 

In Saudi Arabia, Iran reportedly targeted Al-Kharj Airbase, destroying three KC-135 refueling aircraft and damaging five others, with reported U.S. casualties. Prince Sultan Airbase was also hit, with damage reported to an E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft.

 

In Bahrain, strikes targeted industrial zones in Al-Hidd and Riffa, including the destruction of the Bapco oil refinery. Missile attacks were also reported on the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters and Sheikh Isa Airbase.

 

In Kuwait, six U.S. LCU landing craft and tactical equipment were reportedly destroyed at Al-Shuwaikh Port. Kuwait International Airport’s communications radar systems were also said to have been completely destroyed, while U.S. military positions on Bubiyan Island were targeted.

 

Defensive operations included the reported downing of a U.S. MQ-9 drone over Shiraz and an F-16 fighter jet in southern Fars Province. Another U.S.-made reconnaissance drone was reportedly shot down near Bandar Abbas, bringing the total number of enemy aircraft downed to 135, according to the report.

 

A cyber operation was also claimed, with the “Hanzala” group reportedly hacking into the email accounts of the FBI director.

 

In Qatar, drone strikes targeting U.S. bases were reported, accompanied by multiple explosions.

 

Part Two: Hezbollah Operations in Lebanon

Hezbollah forces reportedly carried out strikes on strategic sites inside Israeli-controlled territories, including Safed (Dado base and northern command intelligence headquarters), Haifa (including the Nesherim strategic site), Eilat, Nahariya, and Hanita.

 

Air defense units reportedly shot down two RC-12 reconnaissance aircraft over western Bekaa and border areas. Border military sites, including Ya’ara barracks, Ras al-Naqoura naval base, and artillery positions in Al-Zaoura, were also targeted.

 

Clashes in southern Lebanon reportedly included ambushes and the destruction of multiple Israeli armored vehicles, including Merkava tanks and armored personnel carriers, along with heavy engagements in areas such as Wadi al-Ayoun, Rashaf, and Al-Bayada.

 

Part Three: Iraqi Resistance Operations

Groups described as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq reportedly launched drone and missile strikes on strategic U.S. logistical bases in Jordan.

 

In the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, attacks were reported on U.S. bases in Sulaymaniyah and near Erbil International Airport. A broader campaign involving 41 combined operations using drones and missiles was also reported across the region.

 

Additional incidents in Erbil included explosions near the U.S. consulate, destruction of military fortifications, and strikes on sites linked to opposition groups. Further bombardments were reported in Sulaymaniyah targeting U.S. forces.

 

Part Four: Yemeni Operations

Yemeni forces reportedly participated in joint operations with Iran, targeting key locations including Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Beit Shemesh, the Jordan Valley, Beersheba, the Negev, Dimona, and Arad.

 

A second wave of attacks reportedly involved cruise missiles and suicide drones aimed at multiple strategic and military sites in southern Israeli-controlled territories, coordinated with simultaneous operations by Iran and Hezbollah.

 

Part Five: Syrian Resistance Operations

Syrian resistance groups, identified as the Jund al-Karar battalions, reportedly carried out heavy missile strikes against Israeli-controlled territories in support of allied forces.

 

These developments mark a significant escalation in coordinated regional operations involving Iran and aligned groups, with reported actions spanning military, industrial, and strategic targets across multiple countries.
