WANA (Apr 15) – Amid ongoing maritime developments in the region, the Iranian vessel “Golbon,” which has been sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, continues its navigation near the Strait of Hormuz despite the presence and monitoring of U.S. naval forces.

According to reports, the vessel has maintained its course at a time when U.S. military activity in the surrounding waters of this strategic passage has intensified. Nevertheless, data from independent maritime tracking sources indicate that vessels linked to Iran are continuing to pass through without interruption.

In a related development, a bulk carrier named “Sea Champion” has successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz and entered the Gulf of Oman. Reports suggest that this is the third vessel to pass through the strait so far today.

Tracking data further shows that several Iran-linked vessels have crossed this vital chokepoint in recent hours—a route widely regarded as one of the world’s most critical corridors for global energy transit.
