WANA (Jun 10) – The spokesman for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has fiercely criticized Washington’s shifting justifications for its military actions, contrasting the White House’s rapid blame-shifting over a recent helicopter crash with its prolonged silence regarding a mass casualty incident involving schoolgirls in southern Iran.

 

Ebrahim Rezaei took to his official social media account on X (formerly Twitter) to condemn what he termed the “contradictory behavior” of the United States government following overnight military strikes.

 

Redefining the Pretext

Rezaei highlighted the stark contrast between the Pentagon’s quick intelligence conclusions regarding U.S. military hardware and an ongoing investigation into a civilian tragedy in the city of Minab.

 

“After just two days, the Pentagon and the White House concluded that the helicopter crash in the Strait of Hormuz was Iran’s doing,” Rezaei wrote. “Yet, 102 days have passed since the massacre of the Minab schoolgirls, and their ‘investigation’ into the slaughter of these young girls is still ongoing!”

 

The lawmaker added a sharp personal rebuke, stating, “This is how Epstein’s liars become forgetful when it comes to innocent little girls. Shame on you.”

 

U.S. Strikes and Iran’s Joint Military Retaliation

The diplomatic fallout comes after U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced early Wednesday, June 10, that it had launched retaliatory strikes against Iran, citing the downing of an American helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday night. U.S. President subsequently confirmed the military operation during an interview with ABC News.

 

In response, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a joint military communique confirming that both the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched heavy counter-strikes against American assets.

 

“In response to the aggression of the terrorist U.S. military against areas in the south of the country under the flimsy pretext of their helicopter crash, several U.S. bases in the region were targeted in a powerful assault by the heroic Army of the Islamic Republic and the brave men of the IRGC,” the military command announced.

 

The headquarters concluded with a direct warning to Washington, declaring that “the criminal U.S. military must know” that any repeated aggression against the Islamic Republic will trigger far more destructive and widespread strikes against a pre-selected bank of targets across the region.
