Iran Must Expel European Military Attachés and Ambassadors
WANA (Jan 31) – Hossein Shariatmadari wrote in a note regarding the recent action of the European Union in designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization: Iran’s response to this action by the European Union should not be of the type of negotiations and routine diplomatic exchanges. It is expected that, as a first step, all military attachés of European countries be expelled from the country as agents of terrorist armies.
Hossein Shariatmadari, chief of Kayhan Newspaper and a conservative journalist, wrote in this note:
1. On Thursday evening, Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Policy, announced that the foreign ministers of this union have agreed to place the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the list of “terrorist organizations”! An action which, it can confidently be said, is dictated to the European Union by America and the Zionist regime.
2. The Revolutionary Guard Corps is a thorn in the side of America and the Zionist regime and is one of the main centers of power not only of the Islamic Republic, but also of the resistance forces, and it has a brilliant record in confronting and crushing American- and Zionist-regime–created terrorists such as ISIS and others. This dictated action against the European Union is a sign of the fear of America and the Zionist regime of the power of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The shining display of the Guards’ power in the 12-day war is the main reason for this excessive wrongdoing being dictated by America to the European Union; otherwise, this contemptible union is more insignificant than that it could have an independent decision or opinion.
As an example and just one of many, Trump at the recent Davos meeting and in the presence of European leaders referred to the European Union as the “humiliated union.” Trump’s insult can be considered an accurate translation of the current identity of this union.
Trump also mocked each of the European leaders participating in the meeting and considered their existence to be indebted to America, but none of the European leaders dared to show the slightest reaction in response to Trump’s humiliations.
3. A few years ago, when George W. Bush, former President of the United States, was asked whether England would also accompany America in the attack on Iraq, Bush’s answer was positive, and one of his associates said: England is America’s dog. The next day (February 2002), Tony Blair, then Prime Minister of England, said in an interview with The Guardian that England is not America’s dog that is forced to follow it!
But ultimately, he followed America in the attack on Iraq. Germany is another of the humiliated and powerless countries in the hands of America and the Zionist regime. From 1945 (after World War II) until now, Germany has never — it is emphasized, never — taken a position or action outside the wishes and dictates of America and the Zionist regime. This is while Germany is the most populous, most industrialized, and wealthiest European country.
It is also noteworthy that Germany’s population in the 2023 census was close to 90 million people. The number of Jews living in Germany, most of whom are also not originally German, is about 150,000 people. Now, is it not astonishing that the number of Jewish representatives in the German parliament, the Bundestag, is close to 115 people?!
France also has an identity similar to England and Germany. This country, especially since the era of Sarkozy, has made its humiliating dependence on America more apparent and has taken it to its peak during the era of Macron.
4. Iran’s reaction to this action by the European Union should not be of the type of negotiations and routine diplomatic exchanges. It is expected that as a first step, all military attachés of European countries be expelled from the country as agents of terrorist armies, and the second step could be the expulsion of the ambassadors of these countries. It must be noted that always, attack is the best and most effective defense.
