WANA (Dec 01) – In response to the recent devastating floods and landslides in Sumatra, Indonesia, Iran’s President expressed condolences to the government and people of Indonesia and offered full humanitarian assistance to the affected regions.

 

In his message to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian extended sympathy for the loss of life and injuries among Indonesian Muslims, expressing hope that, with God’s help, the aftermath of the disaster would be swiftly resolved and normalcy restored.

 

The message reads:

“The tragic floods and landslides in Sumatra, which have caused the death and injury of many citizens of our friendly and brotherly country, have deeply saddened me.

 

On behalf of the government and people of Iran, I extend my condolences and pray for divine mercy for the deceased and a speedy recovery for the injured.

 

The Iranian government stands ready to provide full humanitarian and relief assistance to the affected communities and hopes that, with God’s guidance, the impacts of this natural disaster will be quickly overcome.”
