WANA (Nov 12) – Iran has announced its readiness to transfer aviation technology and operational expertise to Tajikistan, marking a new step in strengthening technical and economic cooperation between the two Persian-speaking nations.

During a meeting in Dushanbe, Hossein Pourfarzaneh, head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, expressed Iran’s willingness to share its extensive experience in air safety, aircraft maintenance, air navigation services, airport infrastructure, personnel training, and aircraft component manufacturing with Tajikistan.

Pourfarzaneh emphasized that the historical, cultural, and linguistic bonds between Iran and Tajikistan create a natural foundation for broader collaboration in the aviation sector. He described the expansion of air cooperation among Persian-speaking countries as “a sign of unity, synergy, and mutual support in advancing the regional aviation industry.”

The head of Tajikistan’s Civil Aviation Authority welcomed Iran’s proposal, highlighting his country’s interest in drawing on Iran’s technical and educational capabilities to enhance its own aviation capacity. He called the initiative “an important step toward upgrading Tajikistan’s aviation sector and ensuring safer, more efficient operations.”

According to the two sides, a draft memorandum of understanding will be finalized and signed during the current round of meetings. The agreement will cover training, technical cooperation, air navigation, safety, security, and air transport development, and aims to facilitate smoother air connectivity between Tehran and Dushanbe.

Observers view this MoU as a turning point in Iran–Tajikistan aviation relations, setting a framework for deeper technological exchange and capacity building in civil aviation across the region.
