WANA (Jul 24) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi to discuss the latest regional developments, maritime security, and the movement of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

 

During the call, the two ministers reviewed the regional situation following the reciprocal military responses by Iran’s armed forces to U.S. attacks and exchanged views on maintaining the security of shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

 

They also underscored the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation and discussed regional cooperation and practical measures to prevent further escalation and promote peace, stability, and security across the region.
