Iran on Brink of Strike Before Lebanon Ceasefire
WANA (Apr 17) – A knowledgeable military source revealed that Iran had been on the verge of launching a military strike against Israel at 20:00 (local time in iran) last night, had a ceasefire in Lebanon not been established in time.
According to a reputable Iranian media outlet, the source stated that sustained efforts by Iranian officials to compel the United States to fulfill its commitment regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon ultimately succeeded late last night, forcing Israel to accept the truce.
The source added that Iran had made a definitive decision to proceed with military action if the commitment was not honored. “All necessary preparations had already been completed,” the source noted, emphasizing that missile launch systems had been placed on full operational status, ready to strike pre-designated targets.
He further stressed that failure to implement the ceasefire would have constituted a complete violation of the agreement, and that Iran’s patience had reached its limit.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Donald Trump announced the establishment of a ceasefire in Lebanon at approximately 19:00 local time in Iran.
